I am a flower of Deosai and as my colors are unseen so are my names innumerable.

I am the cloud of Deosai whose likeness is a talisman.

And I myself is Deosai, the world's highest and most expansive dream. Weather it is permissible to leave the house for a flower, for a bear & for a cloud.

I am Deosai.

I am one of the highest Alpine Plain in the world.

At an altitude of at least 13000 ft and at most 16500 ft.

On one side, the paths for me rise from Skardu and on the other side descend to Astor. On the third side go to Gultri. And there are peaks all around me. Reaching a height of eighteen thousand feet. And there is a pass like Burji la. And I am surrounded by them.

I am thirty-six kilometers long and more than twenty-four kilometers wide.

In my lowlands are meadows. There are hills and rivers. There are flowers and colorful trees and lakes. . My grass is fragrant. And my herbs hold miracles of healing within them.

I am also called by the name of Bhirsa (بھیرسا ) in Balti language which means place full of flowers

Not only do brown Himalayan bears live in me, but I am also home to golden marmots & Tibetan wolf. Tibetan red foxes roam in me. Rabbits without tails are my residents. Himalayan ibex shown up. Snow leopards come here. Trout fish swim in rivers and golden eagles also nest in me.

All these wonders are there.

But whether still it is justified to leave home for a bear, a cloud, a flower or perhaps a red wolf and a golden eagle.

BURJI LA

From the top of this pass of Deosai, the most magnificent view of the Karakoram is shown.

Hundreds of kilometers away, K2 Mashabaram and other towering peaks can be seen standing in a row. And only the lucky ones can reach the top of this pass and see them if the weather is clear.

A bear, a flower, and a cloud are non-alcoholic beverages. So there should be a little intoxication.

مۓ خانہ شمال میں جا کر تھوڑا سا سرور تو ہونا چاہئے

So Deosai travel must be included by Burji La.

ACCESIBILITY

Deosai is accessible from Astore District in the west, Skardu District in the north, and Galtari in Kharmang District in the south-east.

The best route for Deosai National Park is via Astore Valley , and the last village from Deosai Plains is Chilam. There are few hotels for stay and you can buy the necessary things for the Deosai tour from this village as well. To reach Deosai via Astore valley you will head to Astore road on the Karakorum Highway.

TIME TO VISIT

Deosai National park opens for 3-4 months only (Jun-Sep). But the best time To Visit Deosai is last 2 weeks of August. Because that is Deosai flower season and Deosai will be covered with lush green grass and flowers.

There are flowers in Deosai Maidan at an altitude of fifteen thousand feet, which only few people have seen. And there are strong and cold winds and even in summer the temperature drops to freezing point at night.

Crossing Deosai on foot requires hard work as there are many difficulties on the way. And that can't be easy.

This plain is mostly covered with snow. And there are only two or three months in the year in which it can be crossed.

There is a beautiful story about it.

For centuries, Bakrwals or shepherds have come here with their animals for the growth of long grass and green grass in this plain, and when they see that there is snow ahead, they stay at the edge of the snow and then as the snow melts, they move along with it and then one day they land near Sadpara lake and reach Skardu and on seeing them people understand that the snow of Deosai has melted.
